Red Crest Garage Doors runs this website. This page explains, in ordinary language, what we collect when you contact us or book a repair, what we do with it and what we will not do with it. It is deliberately short, because the honest answer is that we collect very little.
What We Ask You For
When you telephone or email us, we take your name, a number to call you back on, the address the work is at, and a description of what the door is doing. If you give us an email address we will hold that too, and if you tell us a preferred day or arrival window we note it against the job.
When a technician attends, the record of the visit includes what was found, what was fitted and what was charged. That is kept because it is the record your warranty depends on.
What We Do Not Do With It
We do not sell it. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a marketing company. We do not add you to a mailing list because you rang us about a spring, and we do not pass your details to other trades looking for work in your neighbourhood.
If you would like us to contact you about a service being due, you have to ask us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time by saying so.
What This Website Itself Collects
This site has no forms and collects nothing from you as you browse. Anything you send us arrives by telephone or by email, from your own account. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not run third party tracking scripts on these pages.
The one outside service the site uses is Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces the pages are set in. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google, and Google may log the IP address that request came from, as it does for any site using the service. We receive nothing from that and we cannot see it.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which record IP addresses, requested pages and timestamps. Those exist for security and troubleshooting and are not linked to individual customers.
Why We Hold Any of It
To find your house, to bring the right parts, to give you the price we quoted, to honour the warranty on what we fitted, and to keep the accounting records that Arizona and the IRS require us to keep. That is the whole list.
Retention Periods
Enquiries that never turn into a job are cleared out within about a year. Job records are kept for the length of the warranty and then for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in practice means several years. After that they are deleted or shredded.
Who Else Ever Sees It
The technician attending your job, and the person at the desk who booked it. Beyond that: our payment processor, which handles card details directly so that we never hold your card number ourselves; our accountant, for the invoice records; and a supplier where a part has to be ordered to your address, in which case they get the delivery details and nothing more.
We would also disclose information where a court order or a law required it, which has not happened, and we would tell you if it did unless we were forbidden from doing so.
What You Can Ask Us To Do
You can ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. You can ask us to delete what we hold, and we will, apart from records we are legally required to keep for tax purposes. You can tell us not to contact you again.
Ask by telephone on (480) 588-3309 or by email to info@redcrestgaragedoors.com. We answer these within a few working days and there is no charge for it.
Children's Privacy
This is a garage door company and the site is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us details, tell us and we will remove them.
Keeping It Secure
The site is served over HTTPS. Job records are held on password protected systems accessible only to people who need them for the work. Card payments are handled by the processor and we never store card numbers. No system is perfect and we would not claim otherwise, but we do not hold the kind of data that makes a target worth attacking.
If This Page Changes
Any change is posted here with the date at the top updated. There is no notification list, so if this matters to you it is worth checking the date when you visit.
